Nigeria Jaga Jaga

Eedris Abdulkareem was right, the self-proclaimed Dumbledore of Nigerian music saw sitting what we couldn't see standing. Recent events have vindicated him, I shall elucidate.

Remember how May 2015 ushered in so much hope with the coming of the putative messiah? What is the state of things almost one year on?
Fellow Nigerians, we have been played, not by any political party but by this country's rapacious elite. How else can anyone explain the sclerotic state of the political arena?
While the party in power lurches from one error to the other like a drunk masquerade - pardon the pun - Africa's largest opposition seems petrified into a state of inaction. The dividends of democracy cannot be delivered without those in power doing their utmost best and those in the opposition snapping at their heels yet what do we have here?
Langour and indolence on both sides of the divide.
There can be only one explanation, they are in cahoots and have perfected plans to maintain a smokescreen of political opposition while they carve up Nigeria among themselves and their descendants.
Cast your weary gaze towards the horizon, do you see a messiah's herald? I don't.
Whichever party you choose to turn up to - PDP or APC - you'll be served the same measly fare.
